The Hub Trail, consisting of on-and-off-road sections, is restricted to walking, and self-propelled activities such as cycling; it is wheel-chair friendly. It connects historical, cultural and natural points in Sault Ste. Marie, fosters human-powered activity, and engages the user with its mix of urban areas, waterfront, city amenities and attractions, and natural areas and vistas.
The Hub is the nucleus of several networks in the community including cycling routes and recreational paths such as the Voyageur Trail. Users can snack in picnic areas or enjoy a rest on park benches.
The Hub Trail is perfect for a quick outdoor escape or for a beginner enthusiast. The Finn Hill portion of the trail can be accessed directly outside the Inn, and Fort Creek, with its dazzling views of the Root River, is just a few kilometres down Second Line. Trail maps are available at Reception.
